Wednesday at Chamboree brought our big festival day – Scoutchella.

During the afternoon, we had a wide variety of street / festival artists, who wowed the crowds with their talents in little performances dotted around the main arena.

We had a BMX stunt bike display.

This was fire breathing, although as it was the hottest day of the week with 34 degrees, it could potentially have been her actual breath 😂

We were delighted to welcome some of our younger sections back for the day, who came to enjoy the festival fun.

In order to help provide additional shade in the searing heat, we installed a number of sprinkler stations for people to stand under and cool down, and we opened up some of the activity zone opposite the main arena for group leaders to bring a gazebo to provide some additional shade for their groups. A whole gazebo village sprouted up and was a welcome place for people to take a break and shelter.

There was an incredible party atmosphere all afternoon and the ‘festival dress’ added to the vibe.

As evening approached, the bands took to the stage and the main arena was bouncing!

The crowd was dancing along and it was just incredible to watch.

As the light faded, the crowd was spectacular, it was the perfect summer evening.

One unit had the biggest pizza delivery we’ve ever seen!

Soutchella was truly a highlight in our week long entertainment schedule 🫶
