Friday was the last full day at camp, after what seems like the blink of an eye. The daytime was the final day on activity zones and at Chester Zoo. Then in the evening it was time for our biggest and most spectacular closing ceremony to date.
Each one of our sub camps assembled at their gateway and then all processed into the main arena. That alone was quite a spectacle! 6,000 people walking towards and filing into the arena.

Once everyone was settled into their places, the formal part of the closing ceremony began. We had a fluteĀ performance from the Chamboree’s Got Talent winner, then we had a short speech by Camp Chief Dave Hopley.

We had the Chamboree song and camp dance again (which by now is legendary and will live long after camp!). Then followed an hour of dancing and partying to the DJ.
