Chamboree with Bells on!

Chamboree with Bells on!

Leaders, get ready! Cheshire Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers are bringing the mobile Lichfield Mini Belfry to Chamboree 2026, and your young people are going to LOVE this.

Across the animal kingdom, creatures call out to their group… wolves howl to gather the pack, birds sing to signal danger, dolphins whistle to stay connected.

Humans do it too… with bells.
For centuries, bells have been our way of communicating across villages, towns, and communities. Now your Scouts and Guides can try it for themselves.

🐘 Why bring your young people?
– Hands-on, energetic activity that suits all ages and abilities
– Mini Belfry designed for safe, beginner-friendly ringing
– Fun challenges to complete : teamwork, rhythm, timing, communication
– A FREE blanket badge for every single young person who has a go at all our challenges
– Perfect for the Animal Kingdom theme : discover how humans and animals share the instinct to call, signal, and connect

🐒 What leaders need to know
– Drop-in sessions throughout the camp when it’s your sub camp’s day on the Thrive zone
– No booking required
– Great opportunity to spark a new hobby : we’ll help you follow up afterwards if your young people want to learn more
– let us know if you already ring, everyone is welcome to join our team!

🦅 Give your group a chance to ring out across Chamboree
Let them feel the thrill of making a bell speak, just like animals calling across the wild.
Bring your unit to the Mini Belfry and let them discover a skill that’s ancient, social, musical, and seriously fun.

🐾 See you at the Belfry. You will find us on the Thrive Zone from Sunday…where the camp comes alive with the call of the bells.
