Entertainments Programme

The inter-stellar excitement doesn’t stop when the activities finish! Each night, we welcome everyone on-board the International Space Station (aka the Main Arena!) for a variety of activities that are out of this world.

Each morning, we will be offering a breakfast activity session broadcast live on ChamboTV from the arena to get everyone up and active ready for the day. Your sub-camps will be allocated a special evening for an exclusive camp fire with your camper experience team and each night we’ll be offering you a cosmic collection of on-stage entertainments ranging from live bands, game shows, karaoke bangers, blockbuster movies, the legendary Chamboree late night disco and NEW FOR 2022 an all day festival experience “Festival Du Chambo”!

Evening Programme

20:00 – 22:00. With a nightly disco till 22:30 aimed at older Scouts & Guides, plus Explorer Scouts & Rangers. Suggestions for fancy dress below!

Saturday 30th July	Opening Ceremony This will be the biggest opening ceremony Chamboree has ever seen, hosting all participants in the main arena the show will go off with a bang, live onstage performances and fun for everyone. Including part one of The Story of Chambo: An Intergalactic Incident. We’ll even be joined by some familiar characters from a galaxy far, far away! Dress Code – Top-half Uniform with Space accessories
Sunday 31stJuly	Krowd-e-okie Warm up your voices as Chamboree X welcome you to a sing-a-along like no other. You’ll be belting out the ballads with special guest stars Channy and Jess to lead the vocals. Between tracks enjoy special appearances from the Chamboree X’ers as they “lip sync battle”! Dress Code – Pop artists in space (hint – Ziggy Stardust)
Monday 1st August	Chamboree’s Monday Night Takeaway A fun-filled evening of TV favourites presented by the Chamboree X’ers with chances to win prizes and maybe even “Get Your Own Back” on your leaders! There’ll be a chance to nominate someone special from your group for recognition in our “Happiest Minute of the Camp”. For legal reasons, any resemblance to ITV programmes is purely coincidental 😛 Dress Code – Glitzy Gameshows
Tuesday 2nd August	Space Film night Relax and enjoy an evening in the main arena watching a film on our big screens. ~~Dress~~ Cosy Code – Camp blankets and Snacks!
Wednesday 3rd August	Festival Du Chambo!! An 8-hour none stop entertainment extravaganza. Featuring bands including Ed Sheeran tribute act, stunt shows, special guests, DJ’s, circus stunts, Chamboree’s Got Talent and much more appearing on stage and in the arena. Not forgetting the 2nd instalment of “The Story of Chambo: An Intergalactic Incident”. All participants are encouraged to join us for a picnic tea in the arena so that the fun literally doesn’t have to stop (until the neighbours complain about the noise and we have to go to bed!). Thursday 4th August	Ibiza Dance Party WIth guest DJ Beaver playing party bangers throughout the evening and an exclusive Foam Party for the Explorer and Ranger section. Dress Code – Space meets Summer
Friday 5th August	Closing Ceremony An evening of reflection on the entire week, live performances on stage from Little Mix (cough…tribute acts…cough) as well as the finale of Story of Chambo. Dress Code – top-half Uniform with Space accessories

Nominations for Special Recognition

We want to recognise some of the amazing people that are involved in Scouting and Guiding. If there’s a special person (Youth member or Adult volunteer) that you’d like to shout out either for the work they do in your group or perhaps they’ve done some incredible things outside of Scouting/Guiding then please let us know about them below and we’ll see if we can recognise them in our “Happiest Minute of the Camp”. All we ask is that you provide a brief description of why you think they’re special and that the people you nominate are in attendance at the camp.

Chamboree’s Got Talent

This year Chamboree’s Got Talent will be bigger and better than ever before. We’re ditching the talent tent and asking you to get involved before the event so that we can see you at your best! The top 3 acts will perform live on our arena stage during the Festival Du Chambo to everyone on site!
