Key Timings

The site services team will be moving on site the week prior to Chamboree to start the build process. On Saturday 23 July the marquee companies start erecting the main marquees, on Wednesday the showers and toilets arrive and on Thursday the stage in the main arena will be built. And then it’s your turn!

Thursday 28th July

16:00   Leaders from the local area will be allowed on site to setup your campsites. Please note that camping is not allowed until Saturday evening (Cheshire Cubs, Brownies and their Leaders can camp from Friday evening) security will be provided by the site operations team.

21:30   All Group Set Up Teams off site please. (overnight camping on Thursday is prohibited by our licence to use the site)

Friday 29th July

16:00   Cheshire Cubs and Brownies can arrive on-site (providing their Leaders are present), all parents and non-campers are to have left the site by 20:30

18:30  Cub and Brownie Leaders briefing

Scouts, Guides, Explorers, Rangers and their leaders arrive. All helpers with Groups who are non-               campers are to have left the site by 16:00

17:00   Dinner

18:00   Roman Catholic Mass in the Circus Big Top (Neptune Zone) – Father Paul welcomes people of all faiths for an informal and inclusive Catholic Mass. Whether you’re a devout Catholic or curious to see what goes on at a Catholic Mass you’d be made to feel very welcome!

08:00 Coaches depart for “Mercury” city zone experience

08:45 – 09:30 – Peace Ceremony/Scouts Own in the Main Arena (groups dismissed straight into Activity Zones)

Tuesday 2nd August

16:00   Cheshire Beavers (camping) can arrive on-site (providing their Leaders are present), all parents and non-campers are to have left the site by 20:30

09:00   Cheshire Beaver, Rainbows and Squirrels (day visiting) can arrive on-site (providing their Leaders are present), all parents and non-campers are to have left the site by 12:30

16:30   Cheshire Beavers, Rainbows and Squirrels depart. Parents will be allowed on site from 16:00 to collect Beavers, Rainbows and Squirrels. It is expected that all Beavers, Rainbows, Squirrels, parents and non-campers will be off site by 17:00

17:00   Festival Du Chambo Packed Tea

Friday 5th August

14:00-15:00   The Muslim Scout Fellowship welcomes you to experience Friday prayers as well as a Q&A session afterwards. Visitors (Leaders and IST included) are welcome to join the Earth programme zone (even if it’s not your allocated day) if you have a particular interest in this experience.

Saturday 6th August (at the end!)

It is expected that Groups will break camp during Saturday morning and leave site from 12 noon onwards. Parents will be allowed on site from 11:00. All Groups must be off site by 16:00 having had their sites inspected and cleared for departure. Arrangements for vehicle movements to take equipment away will be announced towards the end of Chamboree week and are dependent on weather conditions.
