The route to Chamboree 2022 will be sign-posted from most major roads, please follow the instructions below. Please ensure your car pass is hung from your rear view mirror. For your safety and to avoid congestion please DO NOT use any routes other than those described below. We have partnered with Towingless for everyone’s safety.
Once on site please be ready to get into lane for your sub-camp as directed by marshalls.
Please note due to our proximity to the M6 and A556 it is essential that you follow the directions of the marshalls to avoid congestion on main roads.
From the M6
Leave the M6 at Junction 19
Take the exit for the A556 Altrincham
Take the first Exit signposted Mere (A50) B5569
At the end of the slip road take the first Exit from the roundabout into Old Hall Lane
Follow Old Hall lane until the reaching a junction with a triangular verge in the centre, Turn left
At the next junction with a triangular verge in the centre turn right onto Pickmere Lane.
Follow Pickmere lane for approx 1,100 metres, the site entrance is on the left.
From Knutsford, Macclesfield & Wilmslow
Leave Knutsford on the A5033 (Northwich Road)
Cross the M6
At the Traffic lights onto the A556 turn right onto A556 towards Manchester
After 900m turn left into Pickmere Lane
Follow Pickmere Lane for approx 2,000 metres, the site entrance is on the left
From Chester, Holmes Chapel & Northwich
Follow the A556 past Northwich towards Manchester
Once past Northwich the Dual Carriageway ends
Continue down the A556 for approx 3miles Do not turn left into flittogate lane
Turn left into Pickmere Lane
Follow Pickmere Lane for approx 2,000 metres, the site entrance is on the left.
Leaving the site
When leaving the site you must use the same routes do not use Flittogate lane to access the A556
All movement of Traffic on site will be under the control of our Site Operations Team and drivers are requested to follow all instructions and directions without question.
Vehicles are parked entirely at the owner’s risk.

Plumley – 2.7 miles (Shuttle bus collection point – must be pre booked)
Knutsford – 4 Miles (Shuttle bus collection point – must be pre booked)
Northwich – 4 Miles

Hartford – 8 Miles
Winsford – 9 Miles (Shuttle bus collection point – must be pre booked)
We will be operating a shuttle bus from the train station, please contact us at least 4 weeks before the event if you wish to book the shuttle bus. Please provide as much information as possible including arrival times and baggage size.
Manchester Airport is only 13 miles from Chamboree 2022. We recommend all incoming flights to arrive at Manchester.

– Book a train ticket (see ‘By Train’) – Train time is roughly 1hr 30min to Plumley
