There will be 3 Sub Camps for participants and a Staff Sub Camp all under the control of Mike Bennion who brings many years of experience to the role, Mike also brings his experience of working at both Eurojam and WSJ to add “best practice” to this important aspect of Chamboree 2010
The sub camp team have a number of key aims;
- To ensure all participants at Chamboree get the maximum fun and enjoyment from the event.
- To generate an enthusiastic participation in all events and activities
- To encourage as much interaction between groups and participants as possible
- To deliver clear and timely communication ensuring everyone has all the information they need to have a worry free time.
- To ensure the highest possible “quality of camping life” during Chamboree, listening and acting on feed back received.
- The Sub Camp teams are the vanguard to ensure all participants get the most from the Chamboree experience.
- We will be doing our up most to ensure that all of the basic camping requirements are delivered in a trouble free way, taking fast and effective action to address any problems that may arise.
Explorer Scouts
- There will be a dedicated area for Explorer Scouts on "Camelot" where they will camp together and get exclusive use of the activity bases each day.
Staff Sub Camp
There will be a "quiet area" on this sub camp for those working shifts or with early starts where the rule will be "no noise" from 10 am onwards.
The sub camps have adopted names which fit with our “middle England” theme and as plans progress they will work with Groups to help them generate enthusiasm amongst their members to join in the fun.
