Activities

Chamboree 2010 will offer hundreds of activities including old favourites and new opportunities to try something different. This list of activities will be updated on a regular basis but to give you a flavour of what to expect click on ZONES above to check out what you can expect to find.

Throughout Chamboree 2010 all participants will have the opportunity to be a record breaker with "camp records to be made and broken" and then there is our plan to try and break at least one "world record".

Daytime activities

Each day (Monday to Friday) will be divided into half day segments offering you the opportunity to visit two activity bases each day. During this five day period you will have the opportunity to take part in at least 150 different activities.

ZONES

The activity Zones are being developed with new activities being added all the time, they are designed to offer excitement, interest and challenge with plenty of time to meet and make friends. A list of activities for each Zone will be added during 2009

Evening activities

Every night you spend at jamboree will offer a varied range of activities including live shows, live bands, disco nights plus a whole range of surprises some of which will be revealed in the months leading up to Chamboree others you will have to wait until the night itself!

Main arena

In the main arena there will be around 100 “drop-in” activities which will be open throughout the day and early evening making sure that there is always something for you to become involved in.

Saturday 31 July

This is the arrival day for the majority of participants and it is expected that most people will be setting up their camp site during the morning therefore a special range of activities will commence after lunch including a special Chamboree challenge.

Sunday 1st August

A whole range of activities around our camp theme of middle England including a jousting show in the afternoon presented by a professional group of stunt artistes call Knights of middle England.

Beavers

Beaver Scouts who visits Chamboree on Sunday 1st August will take part in a selection of special Chamboree activities in the morning and then enjoying the main camp for the jousting tournament in the afternoon.

Cubs

Once again at the Cubs will be joining Chamboree for the first weekend with a mixture of unique activities for Cubs only and a selection of activities with the rest of the camp.

Explorer Scouts

Explorer Scouts will camp together in their own mini sub camp and then enjoy a range of activities specifically for them every day of Chamboree.
